First, we need a little information about you. Medicines you take or medical conditions you have may affect what medicines we use and what treatment we choose. This is why you are asked to fill out a medical history form. And you can review our information privacy policy.
After being seated, your blood pressure being taken and introductions, the doctor will listen to information you can give us concerning any symptoms, history, concerns and reasons for referral.
Then the doctor will examine your mouth. An assistant will take notes. We normally use a periodontal probe, a tiny ruler, to measure. You will find the doctor and staff very concerned about your comfort.
Radiographs are normally considered essential to therapy. We can obtain recent radiographs from your dentist and copy them. If none are available, we can take new ones and send a copy to your dentist.
Finally, the doctor will discuss with you the findings, and offer alternatives of care to help improve your periodontal concerns. Please ask questions, as we want you well informed!
Then our reception staff will schedule your appointments and to review the financial concerns. If you have dental insurance, we can help submit them to the insurance company.
The doctor will send a report to your dentist to inform the dentist of the required periodontal therapy. We will work to gain your respect and treat you as best we can!
